Current Projects

The following are the projects that I am currently working on....

Macro Photography

I am mostly working with flowers and water droplets. Equipment that I am using is the trusty Panasonic Lumix GH4 and Canon 100mm macro lens, with a Metabones EF to M4/3 adapter.

Portrait Portfolio

I am also working on enhancing my portrait portfolio. I have a few assignments at the moment. The moment they are finished, I will be adding those to the Portraits Portfolio on this site, which you can view by clicking the thumbnail above.

Irani Cafés of Hyderabad

There is a history here that goes back a long way. Attempt is to document the journey of Irani Cafés and Hyderabadis’ love for Irani Chai!!

About Me

I am Vasant Ghanate, based in Hyderabad, India. I started my photography journey in the year 2017 with bird photography in the jungles bordering Myanmar and North Thailand, under a mentor based in Chiang Mai. Over the years, I moved into Landscape, Macro and Portraits. Being an avid biker, I got opportunity to travel and started documenting my rides. I had the opportunity to work on a few projects that came along my way in this journey. I am currently working on two projects, one with a reputed Pharmaceutical Company based out of Mumbai, India and the other being a digital documentary on the Irani Cafes' of Hyderabad. Also, work is on on publishing my first Coffee Table Book.
